Barnston 2 - 5 Upton JFC
Both teams having had a good season saw their chance to make a final, knowing it was going to be tough. Barnston started the brighter of the two, the first ten minutes saw their forwards put pressure upon the Upton back four. Upton however were equal to the pressure and started to have more of the play, they however could not beat the Barnston Goalie.
With 5 minutes of the half left, Barnston managed to get their striker on the end of a scramble for the ball and he pushed it past our Goalie. The half time whistle blew and Upton came in fairly buoyant knowing that they had pressured Barnston more and given time would equalise. Not long after the start this exactly what happened with Man of the Match Harry Killoran putting the ball across the goal for Calum Jones to score, this was followed shortly after with a ball put in from a corner and Tom Andrews nodding the ball home.
Although Upton were now dominant, Barnston kept fighting and a ball over the top of the defensive line fell nicely for Barnston and a good goal scored. 20 minutes left and the Upton midfield started to take more of the ball and feed out wide, this resulted in a third goal and Oliver Knight on the edge of the box cutely put the ball beyond the outstretched hand of the Barnston goalie. Barnston’s head dropped slightly and Upton kept coming, some nice passing led to Harry Killoran getting on the end of a cross and a lovely header put away.
Finally a good corner 5 minutes from the end by Jack Dennan dropped sweetly onto Elliot Rollins head who cooly put the ball in the net.
Upton having finished joint top with Christleton Newscene in the league will now go on to meet them in the League Cup Final.

Christleton Newscene 1 - 2 Upton JFC
This was a top of the table clash where Upton with a win would go joint top in the last game of the league season, having already beaten Christleton earlier in the season. A loss would mean Upton finishing 3rd, and draw would require a 2nd place playoff.
Upton started brightly and it was not long before our eventual Man of the Match Oliver Knight scored with a header from a corner, it was a tight hard fought first half but Upton went in at half time 1 up.
A determined Upton went back out, but were under a lot of pressure from a very fast Christleton forward line, although chances were had from both sides it was Christleton who scored next with 18 minutes left on the clock. This rejuvenated Christleton but Upton Kept fighting and 8 mins from the end Tom Andrews scored for Upton. Final whistle blew and the Upton Players were over the moon, they had beaten the league leaders not once but twice in the league and now sat jointly on the top with 33 points each. All the Upton players played well and deserved the win.

Upton JFC 3 - 2 Christleton Newscene
A top of the table clash within the Ellesmere Port league had Upton currently in 2nd place up against an unbeaten Christleton. Upton expected a very tough match against a team who has dominated the games it has played in the league so far.
Upton however took the game to Christleton on a wet and windy Dale pitch, the first 10 minutes had both teams battling in the midfield with the occasional attack at goal, however it was Upton who broke the deadlock with some great football that resulted in Upton’s leading goal scorer Calum Jones putting the ball past the Christleton goalie.
The pressure was now on Christleton, and they attacked the Upton defence, however the Upton defensive line was a match for a fast Christleton forward line, and just before the half Upton passed the ball through the Christleton defence and Tom Andrews was there to fire the ball home.
The 2nd half came and as much as Christleton tried to break the Upton players it was not to be, Upton at this point we’re playing beautiful passing football and with our quick forwards constantly at the Christleton back four a further goal came Upton’s way, via a lovely team manoeuvre that resulted in Calum Jones volleying the ball over the Christleton keeper.
With ten minutes left to play Upton lost concentration and a capable Christleton forward line broke and put one past us. This was followed with 1 minute left on the watch by a corner taken by Christleton, a alleged foul on the keeper was not spotted and the ball fell for the Christleton forward who took his chance and scored.

Rossway United 1 - 10 Upton JFC
In a mid table battle that normally resulted in a very close game in previous seasons, Upton showed how they have improved from last season with a quite stunning performance that put 10 goals past Rossway.
Right from the start Upton went on the offensive and with early goal started to dominate the middle of the pitch, we put a second past Rossway, but were caught out quite soon after with a counter attack by Rossway which put us at 2-1.
The boys continued to play lovely football and at half time went in at 5-1. Full time 10-1.
