C&DJFL Football Festival

On Saturday 14th April, a group of 15 very excited Upton JFC U7s attended the very first Chester and District Junior Football League Football Festival. It was a wonderful event, hosted by County Offices, which celebrated all the great things about the game we love so much : teamwork, sportsmanship, enjoyment and fun.

We fielded two teams of seven-a-side, the Pumas and the Panthers. Both teams did really well and won a number of matches, although scores were not recorded as the focus was on fun rather than a competitive tournament. Every boy received a medal at the end and we now can’t wait for our next tournament – watch this space !

Well done Upton JFC U7s, once again we parents, grandparents and family friends were delighted with your conduct, behaviour and commitment. Thanks also to coaches Martin, Rich, Dave and Steve who had more fun than the kids !
